City public transportation is an important component of city functions,which takes on main functions for the travels of urban and rural residents. There isgreat realistic significance to analyze the development orientation and direction ofcity public transportation. Firstly, from the theoretical point of view, the paper deeply expounds the importance and necessity of adhering to the orientation of public welfare. Secondly, the paper reviews and foresees the three evolution stages of the attributes of public transportation goods. Finally, based on the knowledge on the attributes of city public transportation goods, the paper puts forward three changes that need be highly regarded in the process from traditional city public transport to modem city public transport.
