Pier Cap Construction Technology in Road and Bridge Engineering

In the construction process of road and bridge engineering, the pier cap plays a very important role as a subsidiary structure in the substructure and has a great influence on the engineering quality. If the construction quality of pier cap doesn＇t accord with the regulation of standards, it will seriously affect the bridge safety and stability. This paper mainly elaborates pier cap construction technology including preconstruction preparation, detailed constructing technology and quality controlling methods. The prac- tice proves that after using the above methods, all of the indexes of pier cap intensity are in accordance with the regulation requirements. Therefore, the above methods can be used in pier cap construction to control the construction quality.
