After repeated studies on the network scale,size,construction necessity and construction succession,especially the layout of lines and stations,Suzhou Rail Transit Network(SRTN) finally comes into being.It's called a "well shaped layout" with "two verticals and two horizontals"forms.The characteristics of SRTN are also based on a number of special researches on the land control planning,the heritage conservation,and the link with regional rail transit.The whole plan is finished through cooperation with the Urban Development and Reform Commission,the Planning Bureau,the Power Supply Bureau and the Cultural Bureau of Suzhou City as well as other local authorities.The paper gives a summary on the relevant information of SRTN,including its construction scale and historical evolution.On this basis,the author describes in detail the resource sharing scheme of depot,transfer node,connect line,main substation and control centre in SRTN,points out that this sharing scheme will reduce investment,labor power and land use of SRTN,because it's also convenient for operation and management.The above experience and the solutions can be reference to other cities.
