Operational risk assessment for Ro/Ro passenger ships based on BP Neural Network

With the rise of the transport industry of ro-ro Passenger Ship,the operational security is increasingly beeing paid attention to. This paper makes use of BP neutral network assessment methods, assessed by ro-ro passenger ship operational risk assessment index system which is established from four areas of people,ships, environment and management, eventually determine the specific operational risk of a ro-ro passenger ship during the specifice voyage. After verification,ro-ro passenger ship operational risk assessment index system is complied with the actual situation and supplies a new way for ro-ro passenger ship operations risk assessment.
