Abstract:The calculation of energy dissipation and scour prevention is an important part in sluice design. The structural dimensions of energy dissipation and anti scour facilities such as stilling basin, apron section and anti scour groove need to be determined by calculation. The corresponding calculation formula of energy dissipation and anti-scour is given in the design specification of sluice. A brief introduction is made with an example of engineering about the selection of calculation of water level combination, calculation of non scour velocity and allowable flow of river channel, determination of gate opening and sluice discharge, calculation process of energy dissipation and anti scour, layout of energy dissipation and anti scour facilities.
