| 摘 要： | 目前在国内相关的报刊文章、学术报告以及政府部门文件里，对于综合运输体系相关基本概念的表述和含义很不一致，基本概念定义的不一致和使用的不准确，不利于加快推进中国综合运输体系建设.为此，本文在全面梳理国内外各种相关理念和观点的基础上，进一步分析各种运输方式的基本特性，提出了基本运输方式、高级运输方式、综合运输方式、综合运输体系等基本概念的新定义.根据新定义，综合运输方式等同于多式联运方式，而且，多式联运等高级运输方式是综合运输体系的核心组成部分.本文最后建议，在中文用语中应该以“多式联运”替代“综合运输”，以避免综合运输方式与综合运输体系在概念使用上的混淆.
