| Abstract: | This article, based on a brief introduction of the connotation of maritime English skills, analyzes the status quo of maritime English teaching ＆ learning and the necessity of a balance and integration between COC （Certificate of Competency） examination and assessment and ability-building in maritime English as well as puts forwards the corresponding measures. |
