Among the three daughters, Anna is the protestant who is one of the "rootless" group~ Nina is the westernized one who is free and easy, and she finally chose to get rid of Chinese culture identity~ Lara is the blandly be- trayer who is the "rooted" one. Lara, as the rooted one who is a mixture of two cultures, is considered to be of great reference for culture identity recognition of Chinese Americans.
