On Characters of and Treatment for Fire Disaster in Subway

This paper makes statistics about the date and location,the cause and casualties of all previous fire disasters in the subway.The type and number of fires in different periods are counted separately according to human miss and system failure factors.After analyzing several characteristics of subway fires,thes propose some counter-measures against fires,hold that it's necessary to strengthen the inspection of dangerous items in the subway,in view of a greater proportion of artificial accidents.Regarding the random characteristics of casualties and losses caused by subway fire,the equipment overhaul should be reinforced.The measures also include enhancing fire prevention and calamity combating performance of subway system,improving disaster precaution abilities and mitigating victims of calamity,establishing and improving the organization that processing emergency situation in the subway,and etc.Thes point out that subway fire statistics and data analysis should be considered as a systematic and continuing task,which can give instructions to fire prevention departments of subway,and put forwards the idea of establishing a subway fire expert database to record and analyze subway fires in the world,whih will make contribution to the intellectualization and automation of disaster prevention in both the subway and the city.
