| Abstract: | According to the asphalt concrete covering surface proiect in North Approach of Shantou Haiwan Large Bridge for the Shanfen Expressway in Guangdong Province, different degree of the dis- ease that was produced by the transitional pavement of the soft base sections in North Approach of Shantou Haiwan Large Bridge finished in 1997 are investigated and analyzed, and the questions to be noted for the design and construction of the covering structures for the asphaltic concrete pavement are presented. The practices have proved that these covering structures are effective. |
