Abstract:This study compared and analyzed the selection principle of rated power of equipment, cooperative control strategies, and the harmonic influence of injection points at the main substation in accordance with three configuration schemes of bidirectional converters and rectifiers used in the metro power supply system. It is suggested that the bidirectional converter should work first to reduce the negative effect of low-order harmonics caused by the 12-pulse rectifier. This study summarized the configuration features of short-circuit protection on both the AC and DC sides. The low-voltage lockout can be set on the AC side to increase the sensitivity. The short-circuit value should be calculated to check the protection settings under different conditions, and the bidirectional power flow should be considered on the DC side.
