Analysis of the Key Characteristics of French Modern Tramways

Modern French tramways are constructed on a large scale and are operated based on mature technology. Different urban tramway systems have their own characteristics, offering a variety of urban examples. Combined with the development process of modern tramways in France, in this study, we analyze the distribution, system mode, operation scale, and construction plan using a statistical analysis method. We summarize the characteristics of wiring, depot scheme, and network operation in the design and operation to provide a reference for the follow-up planning and construction of modern tramways. Finally, using the experience of France as a reference, we propose some suggestions on the problems existing in the development of modern tramways in China.
