Research on Construction Planning Scheme of Longdong Avenue Expressway Outer Ring Interchange in Shanghai

Longdong Expressway is located in Pudong New District, Shanghai, and is an important east-west passage in Shanghai''s express road network system. The Outer Ring Interchange is a hub-type full interchange, which is an important traffic node on Longdong Expressway. Based on the traffic flow survey before the interchange reconstruction and the design plan of the interchange reconstruction, this paper designs two construction plans. The two construction schemes were compared and selected from the perspectives of the construction period and the traffic impact of the surrounding road network during the construction period. In the end, overall consideration was chosen to maximize the benefit of the fully enclosed construction plan. It provides a useful reference for the formulation of construction planning during the construction of the elevated expressway interchange nodes in the same type of city.
