Characteristics and Cause Analysis on Long and Longitudinally Steep Expressway Sections with Many Accidents

Accidents happen easily within long and steep longitudinally steep expressway sections, in order to study the cause mechanism of accidents within long and steep longitudinally steep expressway sections, the factors that may cause the accidents have been studied, and the causes of the accidents have been summed up. In this paper, by adopting a method of combining mac-ro and micro deep statistical analysis, the traffic accident characteristics, alignment characteristics and driving speed characteris-tics have been studied for the long and steep longitudinally steep section of a expressway, the characteristics of various factors leading to accidents within long and steep longitudinally steep expressway sections have been analyzed and summed up, the causes of traffic accidents have been comprehensively and objectively analyzed, the basis for the safety and security measures of the expressway has been provided.
