The Application Of Automotive Composite Material Used in Automobile

With the development of science and technology, the non-metallic material with lightweight, high-strength, corrosion resistance and easy-synthetic advantages is used in automobile to replace the conventional metallic material. In order to enable the technicians to know the automotive composite material, the characteristics, function and performance of the composite material is discussed. And several automotive composite materials （such as carbon fiber reinforced plastic, glass fiber reinforced plastics, fiber reinforced metal and metal-plastic layered material） is introduced, and the application of the composite materials used in vehicle body and suspension. Meanwhile the development trend of the composite material in future is pointed out.
