Planning and Application of Urban Rail Transit Running Services Effect - Urumqi as Example

Based on an analysis of the current problems and challenges of urban rail transit development, this study has recognized that urban rail transit systems need to fully consider the individual demands of the travelers and other stakeholders to realize an integrated development process between the rail transit system and the city, and to improve the service level of urban rail transit operations. By analyzing the drawbacks of the current urban rail transit development process, the necessity of planning urban rail transit running service effect was discussed, and the workflow and methods of the new mode of urban rail transit were established. This plan was successfully applied to a case study of the Urumqi Urban Rail Line 1 and positive results were obtained, which could be used as reference for rail transit development projects in other cities.
