| Abstract: | This paper is to discuss the newly arising problems on education and training for Chinese seamen since the release of Pact STCW78/95. Compared with the crew education and training of developed countries, defects in Chinese crew education and training can be discovered in a vlew to the current situation of shipping development worldwide and the fierce competition among the seamen market worldwide. 1 n Order to bring up modernized and qualified seamen, meeting the requirements Of the pact, a detailed analysis is to be carried out, which is deep into patriotism, sea-loving, career-devotion, English studies and training, psychological education for seamen, mastery of computer skills and relevant education law. |
