| Abstract: | In situ gradient composites of Al-24wt;Si alloy, which possess the microstructures of accumulated primary silicon from inner layers to outer layer or from outer layer to inner layer, have been achieved using changing the rotation rate of centrifugal casting. The forma- tion process of the composites has been analyed, and the structure, hardness and distribution of primary silicon. |
