Support Function of Bolt Used in Road Tunnel Located at Mountain Area and Its Construction Quality Analysis

Bolt is a primary support means in the new Austrian tunneling method. It can play an important role in maintaining stability of surrounding rock. This paper describes the mechanism of bolt. Taken the common quality problems of bolt appearing in highway tunnel construction as the example, this paper ana- lyzes the consequences of these problems and points out that it should pay great attention to the bolt sup- port and strengthen supervision to ensure the construction quality of anchor in mountain highway tunnel construction in the future.
