Comparative Analysis of Bridge Technical Condition Evaluation Based on Code for Maintenance of Highway Bridges and Culvers and Standards for Technical Condition Evaluation of Highway Bridges

The paper introduces the methods of assessing the technical condition of the bridge in the Code for Maintenance of Highway Bridges and Culvers and Standards for Technical Condition Evaluation of Highway Bridges. Moreover, Code for Maintenance of Highway Bridges and Culvers and Standards for Technical Condition Evaluation of Highway Bridges are respectively used to evaluate the technical condition of randomly selected national and provincial trunk highway bridges. Through comparative analysis on the evaluation results, the chara- cteristics of bridge technical condition evaluation of the two criterions are summed up, which provide some reference to the evaluation and calculation of technical condition of all levels of highway bridges.
