| Abstract: | Both the advantages of and the latest development in airships are introduced in the paper,with the new roles airships may play in carrying out various military tasks：the realization of the door-to-door transportation,which may be made use of for the support of the logistic transportation command station or the command relay,for all-weather surveillance and search,for the support of the battlefield communications,etc.The use of airships may help solve,within a short period of time,the difficult problems in the high-speed,long-distance airlift of large troops and heavy equipment. |
