Traffic Influence and Result Forecast of Car Free Day

During car free day,non-public motorized vehicles are prohibited in certain urban areas at a limited time,so as to reduce congestion,pollution,and noise,as well as to encourage the use of environmental travel modes.The origination of car free day is introduced;the green traffic and the necessity of car free day is analyzed.Based on the survey data of traffic volume got from Yuzhong District in Chongqing which implements the plan of car free day,the traffic demand forecast and implement effect of car free day is discussed,which provides some scientific guidance for corresponding traffic control and the analysis of its important significance.
