Abstract:There are some limitations in evaluating the seismic stability of a slope by pseudo-static method and dynamic finite element time history analysis method for safety coefficients.The pseudo-static method can not reflect the dynamic characteristics of the slope in analyzing the seismic stability of slope.Meanwhile,the dynamic finite element time history analysis method for safety coefficients transforms a dynamic problem into a static problem,but it considers the dynamic response of the slope to a certain degree.Compared with the pseudo-static method and dynamic finite element time history analysis method for safety coefficients,complete dynamic analysis method considers the tension-shear failure on the basis of using strength reduction method,which can fully reflect the dynamic properties of rock and soil.The feasibility of the complete dynamic analysis method in evaluating the seismic stability of the slope is proved.And it provides a more effective way for the calculation of safety coefficients of the slope under seismic effect.
