Abstract:Mixed retaining structure is usually used in the treatment engineering of high and steep slope,geological complicated environment slope.It is a comprehensive retaining system which is set in the top and bottom of the slope to withstand loads of rock and soil slope by the interaction and coordination of different retaining structure.According to the design practice, there are nine types of common mixed retaining structures and the study on the mechanics characteristic and design method of mixed retaining structure is very necessary.Different retaining structures are not isolated,but has effects on each other.The effects can be direct or indirect passing through the rock and soil mass.The key problem in geotechnical engineering and construction is how to consider the effect.
