| Abstract: | A new fast algorithm for extreme filter of 2D image is presented, which is based on 1D fast algorithm and its time complexity has no correlation with the moving window size. The concept of the algorithm is described in detail and the analysis is made theoretically in this paper. In the end, an example of gray level image thresholding is provided. |
