Applications of Near Inirared Spectroscopy in Process Monitoring

Measurement techniques capable of providing real time information are desirable for efficient monitoring and control of industrial process. In recent years, near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy has become an analytical tool frequently used in many chemkal or biochemical production processes. Great advantages of near infrared spectroscopy for process monitoring are simple, fast, non-destructive and no sample pretreatment compared with other methods. This paper reviewed the application of NIR spectroscopy in process monitoring in the last years.
