| Abstract: | The lectotype and computing requirements of retaining wall as well as the method for design check of retaining wall adopting Coulomb’s theory are introduced;major problems in the design of gravity retaining wall of highway in mountainous area are analyzed and feasible suggestions and measure are proposed. |
