Satisfaction Survey of Guangzhou BRT and Analysis of Operation Effect

This paper evaluates the operational effect of Zhongshan Avenue BRT system of Guagngzhou by index properties as purpose of trip, the preferred choice of the public traffic mode, riding environment, cost, transfer mode, etc. The investigation sites were all the stations along the line of BRT and investigation time included peak hour and no peak hour. The survey analysis showed that passengers on BRT satisfaction is relatively high, and the BRT are able to meet the design purpose, but are in need of improvement. The authers also investigated the BRT operation ef- feet. The results demonstrated the BRT system is very effective in improving traffic environment of Zhongshan Avenue. It provides an important reference to the BRT upcoming construction.
