Evaluation of Objective Effect Image Morphing Based on Similarity

A novel method to evaluate image morphing reality is presented in this paper.First of all,similarity values among a series of frames of image morphing are calculated.Then they are interpolated to be a curve.Finally,image morphing reality degree(IMRD)is defined for the first time in the research field of image morphing by computing the area between the curve and one coordinate axis,curvatures of the curve at different points,and so on.Experimental results show IMRD is an effective method to evaluate objective effect of image morphing.
