Abstract:A new method of online reliability assessment for EMU axle box bearing under condition monitoring is proposed.Since the degradation process of the EMU axle box bearing and components is affected by the nonlinear Wiener process with time drift,it is integrated into the proportional hazard model as a covariate to describe the hazard rate of failure time.By way of discretizing the degradation path and the time axis,the closed-form approximation of the reliability value could be obtained through the transition probability matrix.Unlike the traditional method that is only suitable for a few degraded states,this method can be completed only by performing basic operations on the transition matrix with high computational efficiency,and therefore is suitable for real-time reliability state calculation.The method proposed in this paper can perform online reliability assessment,prediction,health management,and the remaining service life prediction of bogie axle box bearing.
