| Abstract: | A general introduction to the power and auxiliary circuits of 8G electric locomotive is given whose characteristics are as follows, the power circuit uses single phase bridge circuit crossly fed by split type bridge arms; electrical braking employes two-stage rheostatic braking, phase convertor is substituted by capacitor split-phase system for the auxiliary motors, overvoltage protection is accomplished by overvoltage limitator with better protective properties and so on. Characteristiccurves of 8G electric locomotive are given and comparison of the main technical parameters for 8G, 8K and SS4 electric locomotives are presented by table. |
