2007年，河北省地方铁路新线建设完成投资12亿元；新开工建设3个项目，建设总规模增至510公里，连续3年刷新河北省地方铁路建设最高纪录。地方铁路运输完成货运量7635万吨，同比增长28%，完成货物周转量32亿吨公里。同比增长55%，再次创造河北省地方铁路运输历史新高。
