A Study on the Development Strategies for Railway Freight Transport at China Railway Beijing Group

Focusing on the national transportation restructuring policy of"Replacing Road Transport with Railway",Beijing Group has been carrying out the campaign to increase the railway freight volume by improving its freight service quality and competitiveness to realize stable volume growth,leading high-quality development of railway freight.To address the negative factors including the difficulties in increasing volume,the fierce competition in the logistics market,the insufficient capacity of freight station yards and lack of an integrated information system,based on an overview of the freight transport development at Beijing Group,this paper puts forward the strategies:taking multiple measures to achieve stable growth of freight volume;improving quality and efficiency of freight transportation services;leading innovation-driven development.
