Design of Marker System for Passengers in Traffic Hubs

It is important in traffic hubs to use reasonable marks of information to guide passengers to quickly adapt to environment and to choose the best travel route in order to reduce the blindness of transfer and improve transfer efficiency.This essay summarized effective methods through the creative practice of setting guiding signs in Xiyuan traffic hub of Bejing.The design ideas and the working steps in the design of guiding signs in traffic hubs are described from the following aspects: considering the position and scale of the hub,determining the location of marks according to the essentials of planning,setting guiding signs accounting for passenger flow lines,classifying passenger information,taking into account of the manufacturing technology and shapes of marks,etc.
