Building an Efficient Urban Rail Transit Network with Three Themes:Humanity,Technology and Greenness

During the network planning and design of Beijing urban rail transit,three themes—humanity,technology and greenness—were applied to build an efficient urban rail transit network.Firstly,try to realize passenger-oriented rail transit system by setting a second loop line,innovating linking with suburban lines,introducing rapid lines and optimizing transfer and connection.Secondly,try to enforce resource sharing through technological innovations in operation control and management,car depots,integrated communication,interface and guiding signals.Thirdly,try to apply modern trams and medium-low-speed maglev trains,to guide the development of future green rail transit system.
