| Abstract: | The paper briefly describes the planning,design and construction of Xinjiekou transfer station of Nanjing metro.Citing the project as the example that achieved both economic and social benefits simultaneously,author postulates that it is necessary and feasible to develop underground space in the process of metro construction in downtown area of Nanjing city. |
