Development Trend and Mode of Beijing Urban Rail Transit Networking

The process and experience of networking for Beijing urban rail transit is reviewed from the perspectives of the relations between the lines and the urban development,and coordination of the network structure and so on.By referencing to the experiences of rail transit networking in big cities in other countries,it is put forward that the development trends and mode of Beijing urban rail transit networking should include the following aspects:improving the network architecture,optimizing the network structure;building the regional express to reinforce the existing network;strengthening the network connection to overcome the network shortcomings;and adopting medium and low traffic volume to balance different requirements,etc.
