摘    要:城市信号交叉口进口道处的车辆行驶情况对于交叉口的安全与否起着至关重要的作用,为此,有必要根据车辆在交叉路口行驶的具体情况对进口道线进行具有针对性的设计.本文从车辆排队的角度出发,将车辆的到达与交叉口的信号配时视为一个完整的排队服务系统,在考虑了车辆从变道开始至制动结束进入排队系统的运行特征的基础上,对信号交叉口进口道线长度的设计提出了新的模型,并以北京市某交叉口北进口道为例进行计算,结果表明进口道线长度适宜范围为37~43 m.该模型对交叉路口的规划和评价具有一定的指导作用.

Optimal Design of Approach Length Based on Vehicle Lane Changing Behavior and Queuing Theory

Abstract:Vehicles’ operating behavior at the approach of a signalized intersection plays an important role to reflect the safety of the intersection. It is necessary to carry out a targeted design on the approach according to the specific circumstances of traffic flow characteristics at the intersection. Based on the queuing theory,considering vehicles’ arrival and signals at the intersection as a whole system of queuing service,this paper has proposed a new model of design of the length of approach. The new model considers the operation characteristics of the vehicle,starting from lane changing to braking and entering into the queuing system. An empirical analysis was conducted for an intersection in Beijing. The results show that the appropriate length of this intersection is ranging from 37 m to 43 m. This model is of certain guidance for intersection design and evaluation.
