| Abstract: | A stamped and riveted dump-truck frame is analyzed by using the finite element method （FEM）. In order to improve the accuracy of numerical analysis, each rivet joint is treated as a combination of two rigid elements and one beam element. Structural deformation and stress distribution is obtained for several typical load cases. Numerical results show that the truck frame has reasonable structural strength, which satisfies the design requirement. |
