Abstract: | Research and development of the electric vehicle, an alternative for cleaner driving, have been accelerated in various countries. The battery pack is the core component of the electric vehicle and plays an important role in protecting the power batteries in the event of impact loading from the ground. The lightweight structural design of the battery pack is the key way to reduce the weight and improve the range of the vehicle. The strength, stiffness and safety of the box structure will affect the performance of the battery pack. By comparing the structural design, material selection, static and dynamic characteristics of different types of battery packs, the material performance requirements for each type of battery pack with lightweight design are summarized, and the lightweight effects of different materials are evaluated. The paper provides a reference and theoretical guidance for selecting suitable lightweight materials in the structural design of battery packs. |
