Study of elastic asphalt mixture compared to SMA

This article describes the applied technology for waste crumb rubber particles to elastic asphalt mixtures. The similarity of both elastic asphalt mixture and SMA were examined from several aspects such as the structural features, surface function and volume parameters, and focus on their differences in road performance. The conclusion is that the elastic asphalt mixture compared with SMA has better crack resistance at low temperature and resistance against water damaging.
