Discussion on Bridge Design in Binhai New Area of Tianjin City

According to the design experience of the new area construction, and from the views of a bridge-designer, the article sums up and discusses some questions for attention in the design of the bridges in the new area, puts forward the proposal properly to enhance the standard based on the practical situation of the traffic transporting demand in the present partial areas, and gives the engineering examples. The durability design is emphasized by the environmental characteristics of Binhai New Area. Combined with the engineering practices, the article gives some detail methods and cases, and also puts forward the beneficial proposal for the design idea, maintenance and management.
