Study on Traffic Capacity and Improvement Countermeasures of Urban Roundabouts

Roundabouts always become a bottleneck of the urban road traffic.This article discusses the capacity calculation method of roundabouts without signal control,application conditions,optimization methods and improvement strategies in detail.According to the situations of the roundabout,the article analyzes the traffic organization design of roundabout,and confirms the phase setup and the main traffic parameters of signal lamp.The result indicates that the improvement is feasible for roundabouts.
