| Abstract: | The piles of Pier No.8 of the right deck of Shuinan Bridge on the west section of Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway in Hubei Province are 98 m long.The geologic conditions at the site where the piles are located are complicated,that is,the rock foundation there is rupture,the karst geology is particularly prominent and has grown into fossil rock hopper and in accordance with the conditions at the site,the piles were constructed by digging method.In this paper,the construction methods and various special measures adopted in the construction of the piles are presented.It is expected that the presentations in the paper may serve as reference to the construction of similar works. |
