| Abstract: | The Amendments 2004 to Annex II of MARPOL 73/78 entered into force on 1 January 2007. This paper introduces the relevant requirements of the Amendments, discusses the present status concerning implementation of the mandatory pre-wash requirement and provides some control measures for implementation of the pre-wash requirements. |
