Yangpu port,located in the northwest of Hainan Island,is not only a major shipping port of Hainan province,but also a high-quality anchorage against typhoon in Hainan Island.During the typhoon season of each year,the number of ships arriving at the harbor far exceeds the theoretical capacity of the anchorage.During the season,ship accidents happen frequently,which causes danger to the crew and huge loss of ship property.The article analyzes the ship anchorage safety situation in Yangpu port and the factors that affect the anchorage safety in the area,and attempts to put forward suggestions aiming at providing reference for the maritime administration and ships in choosing anchorage areas for anti-typhoon purposes,so as to ensure the safety of the ships in the area.
