Abstract:As one safety parameter to control the dangle-after time of ships which enter and leave port in same direction,the safe time-interval of ship entering and leaving port is one of important factors affecting the service of coastal port.Nowadays,the service of some bulk cargo ports descends sharply due to the limited navigable capacity of one-way channel.To mitigate the channel traffic jam and improve the port service,Arena software is applied to constitute the simulation model of port operating system and study the impact of safe time-interval on the port service.The above is also applied in the detailed projects simulation and the relevant analyses.It is shown in the test that the suitable reduction of safety time-interval may improve to some extend the port service for the one-way channel with shorter navigable history in a large-scale port area.
