A Ship Tracking System with The Application of Digital Selective Calling Techniques

In consideration of the incompatibility of the existing ship tracking methods,this paper begins with the discussion of the feasibility and advantages of developing an universal ship tracking system with the integration of shipborne Digital Selective Calling (DSC) terminal.Next, the structure, the working principles and the performance of the DSC Ship Tracking System which has been developed by the author is mainly described. Finally, the application prospects of the system is mentioned.
