| Abstract: | This paper briefly analyzes the casualties of bulk carriers since 1990s and the reasons for these casualties, and recalls the course and the cooperation sought by the IMO and International Association of Classification Society(IACS) in the safety measures of bulk carriers recently, and puts forward some outstanding problems and the relevant suggestions. |
