| Abstract: | This paper elaborates the structural design characteristics of a 38000t self-propelled semi-submersible vessel from the engineering design perspective, and analyzes several key points in the structural design such as global longitudinal strength of the hull, stiffener layout, strong frame, spacing and transversal strength, to provide some reference for the future structural design of semi-submersible vessels. |
